Call Our Santa Hotline

A little holiday cheer from your friends at Sprinkle Tech!

I’ve launched a way for you or your kids to call Santa. I even put in a little bit of extra fun for those on the naughty list or who are waiting for a holiday joke!

What’s Santa’s Number

Give Santa a call at (971) 399-0009.

If you’d like to receive a copy of your child’s recording with Santa Clause, just send an email to santa@sprinkletech.net with the phone number you called from and I’ll get the recording sent right over to you.

Why Did I Do This

For Fun

There are a lot of options to call Santa. The longest running is the one from FreeConferenceCall.com. My wife and I wanted to make something a little unique this year by providing an offering that both gives you the opportunity to leave a voice message for Santa, but also gives more options than just having the kids record a voicemail.

For Tech

This project was also completed as a demonstration of how to quickly stand up technologies to support a seasonal project. Excluding writing and coordinating with the voice actor, the entire time for this project was only about an hour of actual work.

A blog post will follow on the “making of” of Santa’s Hotline, but this is intended to showcase the flexibility of rapidly setting up 3CX in the Cloud on AWS and using the Chime Voice Connector for super inexpensive phone access.

Even Santa’s email has a combination of public cloud and FOSS that will will be explored more in the making of.

Here’s hoping your holiday season is off to a great start, and I’m looking forward to sharing more.

A Happy Thanksgiving

This year there is a great deal that I’m thankful for. This has been a year of tremendous change for me and my family and it has worked out so very well. At the end of 2021, I started a new position in a new city. My wife and I welcomed a new precious daughter to our family, and my work saw me get to be part of opening a facility that will have a huge impact in our community.

There’s a lot to be thankful for this year, and in the days and weeks ahead, I’m looking forward to finding a way to capture more of it.
